There is currently a lack of hotel rooms in central London and with an increasing number of tourists visiting the capital it is estimated that an extra 2,000 hotel rooms2 will have to be built each year in order to meet with demand.

Global tourism has shown record growth for the last 5 years, and is set to continue with the value of international tourism forecasted to increase by at least 50% by 20203. Outbound departures from China alone have risen by 146%4, indicating a healthy supply of visitors for the coming years.
